It’s never way too early to talk about 2024 fantasy football rankings. Sure, the 2023 season isn’t even over yet, but 2024 best ball contests are right around the corner. We aren’t too far from the NFL Scouting Combine. Then there’s free agency which spills into the draft. Minicamps and OTAs follow shortly after. Before we know it, the Fourth of July will be here, and we’ll be right back into fantasy football draft mode.

So, if we don’t start now, we’re going to get behind very quickly. Let’s get the 2024 fantasy football season right with an initial set of rankings. Of course, this is only the first incarnation of 2024 fantasy football rankings. With so much yet to unfold across the NFL landscape, this list will undergo many changes over the next several months.

Early 2024 Fantasy Football Rankings — Top 100

1. Christian McCaffrey, SF (RB1)

Christian McCaffrey is the king for at least one more year. He averaged 5.4 yards per carry and scored 21 total touchdowns in 2023.

2. Tyreek Hill, MIA (WR1)

Tyreek Hill will be 30, but the speed is still as good as ever. He averages nearly 11 targets per game.

3. CeeDee Lamb, DAL (WR2)

Over the second half of 2023 (Weeks 8-17), CeeDee Lamb saw 34% of all targets in Dallas, and he had 315 more receiving yards than any other player.

4. Kyren Williams, LAR (RB2)

From waiver wire pickup to top-five pick. Kyren Williams scored 15 touchdowns in 12 games and averaged over 112 yards from scrimmage per game.

5. Justin Jefferson, MIN (WR3)

The consensus 1.01 from last year, Justin Jefferson suffered from injuries and a QB carousel in 2023. It remains to be seen what the Vikings will do at QB in 2024.

6. Ja'Marr Chase, CIN (WR4)

Ja'Marr Chase transcended QB play and scored 28 more fantasy points than expected in 2023. He'll be more consistent with Joe Burrow back next year.

7. A.J. Brown, PHI (WR5)

A.J. Brown went six straight games with over 125 receiving yards in 2023.

Amon-Ra St. Brown was the only non-QB to score at least 20 PPR fantasy points in all three rounds of the fantasy playoffs in 2023.

Breece Hall had a slow start to 2023 as he returned from his torn ACL, but he flashed explosive plays all season long both on the ground and through the air (74 receptions through Week 17). More TDs should come in 2024 -- assuming the Jets get better QB play.
