Happy last week of April everybody. If you’re off to a good start in your fantasy baseball league, I’m sure you’ll go wire-to-wire. If not, don’t worry: There’s plenty of time to turn it around. If that involves gaining standings points in saves, then you’re in the right place. This week, we focus on a pair of bullpens that saw the most turnover this week, in Chicago and Tampa, and attempt to divine who will emerge from mostly anonymous groups of relievers to seize consistent ninth inning appearances. We also look at a few closers off to good starts elsewhere that haven’t come up much in this space this year.

Craig Kimbrel is once again Craig Kimbrel-ing, bringing his unique high wire act to every save situation in Baltimore and more often than not coming away with the save. He’s off to a good start, with 7 saves and a 17:2 strikeout-to-walk ratio, but there’s some cause for concern under the hood.
