Week 3 NFL Game Previews

New York Giants @ San Francisco 49ers

SF -10.5, O/U 45.5
Pace: NYG: 26.3 sec/snap (14th), SF: 29.8 sec/snap (31st)

The Giants start the toughest part of their schedule Thursday night, and they’ll likely do it without Saquon Barkley, who is nursing an ankle injury. For San Francisco, Brandon Aiyuk is questionable with a shoulder injury.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Minnesota Vikings

LAC -1, O/U 53.5
Pace: LAC: 24.9 sec/snap (9th), MIN: 24.0 sec/snap (6th)

The Chargers and Vikings play the craziest, most bizarre football games in all of the NFL, so I can’t wait to see how this one ends. Austin Ekeler (ankle) is still without a timetable for a return.

Tennessee Titans at Cleveland Browns

CLE -3, O/U 40
Pace: TEN: 31.3 sec/snap (32nd), CLE: 26.2 sec/snap (14th)

Tennessee travels to Cleveland to take on the Browns, who begin life without All-Pro running back Nick Chubb. Against Tennessee’s pass-funnel defense, will Cleveland abandon the run altogether?

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars

JAX -9.5, O/U 44
Pace: HOU: 22.3 sec/snap (2nd), JAX: 26.3 sec/snap (15th)

After scoring just nine points in Week 2, the Jaguars offense looks to get back on track against the Texans at home. And for Houston, can we trust Dameon Pierce?

New England Patriots at New York Jets

NE -2.5, O/U 37
Pace: NE: 22.6 sec/snap (4th), NYJ: 20.3 sec/snap (1st)

A matchup between two struggling offenses doesn’t call for a ton of fantasy goodness. Though it would certainly help the Jets’ offensive woes if they would give Breece Hall more than four touches.

New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers

GB -2, O/U 43
Pace: NO: 24.2 sec/snap (7th), GB: 27.8 sec/snap (26th)

This game features multiple running back injuries, as Aaron Jones missed Week 2 with a hamstring injury, while Jamaal Williams left Monday’s game with a hamstring injury of his own. With Kendre Miller also hurt, and Alvin Kamara suspended one more week, the Saints running back depth is a serious concern.

Denver Broncos at Miami Dolphins

MIA -6.5, O/U 48
Pace: DEN: 27.1 sec/snap (22nd), MIA: 25.6 sec/snap (10th)

Miami’s high-powered offense returns home, though Jaylen Waddle’s status (concussion) is up in the air. For the Broncos, who exactly are we starting in fantasy?

Buffalo Bills at Washington Commanders

BUF -6.5, O/U 44.5
Pace: BUF: 29.6 sec/snap (30th), WAS: 27.2 sec/snap (23rd)

The Bills travel to Washington to take on a 2-0 Commanders team that is coming off a spectacular comeback victory. Josh Allen (unsurprisingly) bounced back last week, but this Washington defensive line will be a tough test.

Atlanta Falcons at Detroit Lions

DET -3, O/U 46.5
Pace: ATL: 26.4 sec/snap (18th), DET: 26.8 sec/snap (21st)

The Lions are dealing with multiple injuries, including Amon-Ra St. Brown, David Montgomery, C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Frank Ragnow. For the Falcons, the same question remains: How many passes will they attempt?

Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens

BAL -8, O/U 44.5
Pace: IND: 22.4 sec/snap (3rd), BAL: 27.5 sec/snap (25th)

We’ll have to see if Anthony Richardson can clear the concussion protocol in time to play in this game. If not, it’ll be Gardner Minshew under center for the Colts against a tough Ravens defense.

Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks

SEA -6, O/U 42.5
Pace: CAR: 26.7 sec/snap (19th), SEA: 26.3 sec/snap (15th)

Carolina’s offense is really struggling right now, as it lacks any sort of explosiveness. Now they travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks, who saw their offense bounce back in Week 2.

Dallas Cowboys at Arizona Cardinals

DAL -12, O/U 43.5
Pace: DAL: 28.5 sec/snap (29th), ARI: 28.1 sec/snap (27th)

The Cowboys elite defense gets a third consecutive dream matchup this week, facing the Cardinals. Arizona’s offense looked good last week, but things could be much different this time around.

Chicago Bears at Kansas City Chiefs

KC -13, O/U 47.5
Pace: CHI: 24.8 sec/snap (8th), KC: 26.1 sec/snap (13th)

Kansas City’s offense hasn’t been anything to write home about through two weeks, but a home matchup against Chicago’s struggling defense could be the remedy. For the Bears, will Luke Getsy’s offensive game plan get any better?

Pittsburgh Steelers at Las Vegas Raiders

LV -1, O/U 43
Pace: PIT: 22.9 sec/snap (5th), LV: 28.2 sec/snap (28th)

The Steelers offense has been brutal through two weeks, and now they’ll travel to Las Vegas to take on a vulnerable Raiders defense. For Las Vegas, we’ll have to keep an eye on the status of wide receivers Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers.

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

PHI -5.5, O/U 46
Pace: PHI: 27.3 sec/snap (24th), TB: 26.7 sec/snap (19th)

The first Monday night game features two 2-0 teams. Will D’Andre Swift continue to operate as the lead running back in Philadelphia? And can Baker Mayfield keep it going against a banged-up Eagles secondary?

Los Angeles Rams at Cincinnati Bengals

CIN -2, O/U 43.5
Pace: LAR: 25.7 sec/snap (11th), CIN: 25.7 sec/snap (11th)

Joe Burrow aggravated his calf injury, and it is possible he won’t play in this game. For the Rams, Puka Nacua somehow just got a target again.
