As we head into Week 13 of the fantasy football season, lineups need to be set, and with that comes some tough decisions. We’re coming down the home stretch of the NFL regular season, which means the stakes are even higher with the playoffs around the corner. As a result, this week’s start/sit decisions are that much more critical.

One of the most popular tools here at FTN is our fantasy football rankings. Each week, we bring you non-PPR, PPR and half-PPR rankings to help you win your league.

Throughout the season, I will break down what players our FTN rankers prefer more (or less) than the expert consensus rankings at FantasyPros. For this article, I will be looking at the half-PPR format.

Quarterback

QBs the FTN rankers like more than ECR

Player Team ECR Rk. FTN Rk. Difference
Tua Tagovailoa MIA 9 7 2
Deshaun Watson CLE 11 10 1
Derek Carr LV 13 12 1
Kirk Cousins MIN 15 14 1

QBs the FTN rankers like less than ECR

Player Team ECR Rk. FTN Rk. Difference
Mike White NYJ 17 20 -3
Dak Prescott DAL 7 9 -2
Jalen Hurts PHI 2 3 -1
Geno Smith SEA 10 11 -1
Tom Brady TB 12 13 -1
Jimmy Garoppolo SF 14 15 -1
  • This week the ECR and FTN have quite a few differences, but they are only minor ones.
  • The most significant difference is in the QB2 ranks, where our rankers have Mike White three spots lower than the ECR.
  • Tua Tagovailoa has a tough matchup this week in San Francisco, but our FTN rankers believe in him more than the ECR, two spots higher.
  • On the flip side, Dak Prescott is a player that our rankers are lower on than the ECR this week.
  • Deshaun Watson and Geno Smith are two players our rankers have flipped with the ECR, as our rankers prefer Watson.
  • Tom Brady and Derek Carr are also flipped, with our rankers preferring Carr.

Running Back

RBs the FTN rankers like more than ECR

Player Team ECR Rk. FTN Rk. Difference
Jamaal Williams DET 19 16 3
Miles Sanders PHI 20 18 2
Saquon Barkley NYG 10 9 1
David Montgomery CHI 14 13 1
Jeff Wilson MIA 21 20 1
Latavius Murray DEN 29 28 1

RBs the FTN rankers like less than ECR

Player Team ECR Rk. FTN Rk. Difference
Dameon Pierce HOU 17 21 -4
Gus Edwards BAL 28 31 -3
Cordarrelle Patterson ATL 24 26 -2
Antonio Gibson WSH 27 29 -2
Dalvin Cook MIN 9 10 -1
Joe Mixon CIN 13 14 -1
Alvin Kamara NO 16 17 -1
Rachaad White TB 18 19 -1
Ezekiel Elliott DAL 23 24 -1
  • ECR and FTN are fairly aligned at running back, especially inside the top eight, as they are completely in sync.
  • Saquon Barkley and Dalvin Cook are flipped at 9 and 10 with our rankers favoring Barkley.
  • Our rankers favor David Montgomery over Joe Mixon as they are flipped at 13 and 14.
  • After that, the most significant difference is with Jamaal Williams, who our rankers have three spots higher this week as opposed to the ECR.
  • Dameon Pierce is a player that our FTN rankers have outside the top 20 this week after two down weeks, but the ECR still has him inside the top 20.
  • Our rankers have less faith in Gus Edwards, as we have him outside the top 30 this week, but the ECR has him just inside the top 30.
  • Cordarrelle Patterson is ranked inside the top 24 by the ECR, but our rankers have him outside the top 24.
  • Miles Sanders is a player our rankers believe more in than the ECR, as we have him two spots higher.

David Njoku CLE 8 7 1
Foster Moreau LV 9 8 1

TEs the FTN rankers like less than ECR

Player Team ECR Rk. FTN Rk. Difference
Gerald Everett LAC 7 9 -2
  • For yet another week the ECR and our FTN rankers are fairly aligned inside the top 15.
  • However, Gerald Everett is a player our rankers are a bit lower on than the ECR as we have him two spots lower.
  • As a result, David Njoku and Foster Moreau are the two players our rankers have higher than the ECR.
