Wednesday’s CS:GO DFS slate features the 16-team Gamers8 Tournament in Saudi Arabia with a $1 million prize pool. The DraftKings DFS contests will have a roster lock of 6:55 a.m. ET. I am here to break down by top DFS builds for DraftKings and provide some top plays for PrizePicks.
IEM Cologne will start off with a 16-team, double-elimination format that will offer spots to the IEM Cologne main event to eight teams. This DFS slate will feature six games, with a mixture of elimination matches and winner’s bracket matches.
Based on what we’ve seen in the past, you can expect these contests to not include Cloud9 as they are have a Russian core. That means the DFS contests will likely have a four-game slate. Remember, for four-game slates, my preference for roster construction is the following:
2-1-1-1-1
2-2-1-1
3-1-1-1
3-2-1
You can certainly include two 3-man stacks in there, but if you’re trying the bigger $10k Clutch contest, it’s probably going to be tough to win because the upside is usually capped with two three-man stacks.
Team Rankings
NaVi (-250) – I think FURIA has been struggling too much to be competitive against NaVi. Their struggles seemed to begin during IEM Cologne when it was reported that KSCERATO’s father passed away during the tournament. NaVi is only going to get better over time, which they’ve needed to gel together as a team since moving to an international core.
CPT Options – s1mple, jL, b1t
Player Pool (ranked) – s1mple, jL, b1t, aleksiB, iM
ENCE (-177) – ENCE might be the best pure team outside of Heroic at Gamers8. They have a good matchup against an aggressive Liquid team that has been a bit rocky since moving to Europe.
CPT Options – NertZ, SunPayus
Player Pool (ranked) – NertZ, SunPayus, dycha, Maden
Heroic (-833) – Probably going to be extreme chalk and rightfully so. The way to differentiate yourself here might be to be underexposed to them, and only play them as one-offs.
CPT Options – stavn, cadiaN, jabbi
Player Pool (ranked) – jabbi, cadiaN, sjuush, stavn, TeSeS
Vitality (-1667) – ZywOo will certainly be close to the most rostered player of the slate. Even though they are technically bigger favorites than Heroic, I think MIBR have a better shot at being somewhat competitive against Vitality as they have gotten in a lot of officials since this roster came together, and even defeated the Bad News Eagles in a 2-0. With that said, it makes sense to play Vitality guys in at least some of your matchups, but you might not to be overexposed. While ZywOo is almost a lock for production, the kills tend to be spread out among the others more often than not. Because of that, I’d give some consideration to rostering apEX, who tends to be much better when playing on LAN.
CPT Options – ZywOo, flameZ
Player Pool (ranked) – ZywOo, apEX, flameZ, Spinx, Magisk
