Major League Baseball’s Joint Competition Committee, comprising club representatives, players and an umpire, approved a pitch timer, shift restrictions and bigger bases for the 2023 season. These changes, announced in a press release in September, were tested extensively at the minor league level over the past several years. The game will be different next year and these three rule changes and the impact they have on the game could help shape the 2023 fantasy baseball season.
