Correlation is key when it comes to fantasy sports, especially when it comes to event-based scoring (such as touchdowns in the NFL). Stacking is viable and extremely important in almost every fantasy format these days, but especially in formats such as DFS and best ball where you have larger fields and ceiling outcomes that need to be sought after. That is where stacking comes into play. 

 

When I think of the best way to explain correlation and/or stacking, I like to use the example of dominoes. In order to knock down all of the dominoes, you must first start by knocking down the first one, and if those dominoes are correctly placed, other dominoes should fall after that first one.
