This is my first auction draft of the fantasy football season. I usually do a few to prepare for my live auction in New York City in September, so here’s one of my pieces of prep work, and I’ll break it down for you.

 

I'm usually a stars-and-scrubs type of auction drafter. My strategy is to target certain high-end players at each position. If the money is not right, I'll move on to the next player at that position. I like to always get a top-tier running back I can hang my hat on, maybe even two depending on the flow of the auction.
