The Carolina Panthers land another receiving option in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, selecting LSU WR Terrace Marshall with the No. 59 overall pick.

(Check out the FTN Terrace Marshall scouting report here.)

Marshall is reunited with his ex-WR coach in LSU, Joe Brady, who is the Carolina offensive coordinator now. Marshall had a combined 1,402 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns across the last two years. He joins a Carolina receiver room that also includes D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson.

Marshall is a first-round talent but medicals hurt his draft stock. He joins Carolina and it’ll be interesting where he, D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson line up. Marshall played both inside and outside at LSU last year, while Moore was only in the slot 22% of the time with the Panthers in 2020. He was used down the field a lot more and if Marshall’s arrival pushes Moore into the slot more, it could be great for his fantasy potential, especially with Sam Darnold under center. As for Marshall, he is an intriguing second-round rookie draft pick, as Curtis Samuel and his 97 targets need replacing. Joe Brady, who coached Marshall at LSU in 2019, will know exactly how to use him. -- Adam Pfeifer
