Every Monday during the NFL season, the Injury Report goes through the injuries around the NFL position-by-position as they relate to your season-long fantasy football teams.

Friday Update

Arizona QB Kyler Murray will play against the Chargers this week. Murray is returning from a hamstring injury.

Bears QB Justin Fields is a game-time decision against the Jets this week. Fields has torn ligaments in his non-throwing shoulder.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon is out this week with a concussion. Samaje Perine will start for Cincinnati after catching three touchdowns last week.

Chargers WR Mike Williams didn’t practice again Friday and his status remains up in the air for Sunday. I wouldn’t count on Williams playing at this point, opening up opportunities for Joshua Palmer once again.

Original Injury Run

Quarterback

Arizona QB Kyler Murray is out with a hamstring injury and will miss Monday night’s game against the 49ers. Colt McCoy will start in his place. Murray might not return until after the Cardinals’ Week 13 bye week.

Bears QB Justin Fields is considered day-to-day with an injury to his non-throwing shoulder. Chicago is more optimistic about his chances to play this week than they were Sunday night.

Running Back

Broncos RB Chase Edmonds suffered a high ankle sprain that will cause him to miss multiple weeks. Denver also released RB Melvin Gordon, opening up even more opportunity for Latavius Murray

Bengals RB Joe Mixon is in the concussion protocol. If he’s unable to clear the protocol by Sunday, Samaje Perine, who scored three touchdowns in Week 11, would be in line for the starting role in Cincinnati.

Wide Receiver

Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson tore his ACL in the game against the Lions Sunday. Robinson will miss the rest of the season. New York was already strapped for receivers after trading Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs and the lack of production from Kenny Golladay. Robinson had six catches and 100 yards against Detroit, so we’ll see if Isaiah Hodgins and Lawrence Cager can fill in going forward.

Chargers WR Mike Williams left Sunday night’s game against the Chiefs with an ankle injury. Williams was coming back from an ankle injury and couldn’t finish his first game back. He’s becoming tough to trust down the stretch of the 2022 fantasy season.

Tight End

Falcons WR Kyle Pitts suffered a torn MCL and is out indefinitely, according to Ian Rapoport. Atlanta has already placed Pitts on injured reserve, which keeps him out for at least the next four games.
